Best Tattoo Artists at Tattoosphere, Delhi

Two artists, one studio in Surajmal Vihar

Tattoosphere is run by two people who actually do the tattooing: Gaurav Aggarwal, who founded the studio in 2013, and Loveleena Kapoor. There is no factory of rotating artists here β€” you talk to the person who will work on your skin, and you leave with a piece that was drawn for you. That is the short version of why people keep coming back, and why a good number of them travel in from Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gurgaon rather than going to whatever shop is nearest.

Every tattoo starts the same way: a proper conversation. We look at your references, talk through what the design actually means to you, and work out where it sits on your body and how big it needs to be to still read clearly in ten years. Whether you want a quiet fine-line piece, a colour realism portrait, lettering, or a full custom design that pulls a few ideas into one, the planning matters as much as the needle. You can see the range of work in our tattoo studio.

The studio sits in Surajmal Vihar, East Delhi β€” close to the main arterial roads, so it is a straightforward drive from most of the NCR. Inside, the priority is simple and non-negotiable: single-use sterile needles, professional skin-safe inks, clean surfaces, and a calm room where you are not being rushed. A tattoo is permanent. We treat the hour you spend deciding on it as seriously as the hour we spend putting it on.

A note from Gaurav, the founder

Hi, I'm Gaurav. I started Tattoosphere in 2013 and I still tattoo here every week. For me the job is part craft, part responsibility. You're working on living skin, so machine speed, needle depth and hand pressure aren't details you guess at β€” they're the difference between a tattoo that heals clean and one that doesn't. Twelve years in, I've stopped counting the pieces, but I haven't stopped being careful with any of them.

What I tell most people who walk in is the same thing: pick a design that stays connected to you. The tattoos that age best aren't always the most complicated ones β€” they're the ones the person never gets tired of, because they mean something. That holds whether you're coming from down the road in East Delhi or driving in from Gurgaon or Ghaziabad for the afternoon.

I also work alongside Loveleena Kapoor, who I'd put among the best female tattoo artists in the NCR for fine-line and hand-poked tattoos. Her shading is soft, her detailing is clean, and a lot of clients specifically ask for her. Between the two of us we cover most styles, so the conversation usually starts with what you want and we figure out who's the better fit from there. Alongside the studio work, I also run tattoo training courses for people who want to learn the craft properly.

Why people pick Tattoosphere

Choosing where to get tattooed is a one-way decision, so here's an honest account of what you actually get β€” not a list of slogans. Most of it comes down to time, hygiene and twelve-plus years of knowing how ink behaves on different skin.

12+ years of real experience

Gaurav has been tattooing since before the studio existed β€” that's thousands of pieces, every skin type, and a working feel for how a tattoo will look once it's settled and aged. That experience is mostly invisible until you need it: it's why the lines stay crisp and the shading doesn't go muddy a few years down the line.

A female artist for those who want one

Loveleena Kapoor handles a lot of our fine-line, floral, hand-poked and soft-shaded work. Some clients simply feel more at ease with a female artist, especially for placements in sensitive areas, and she's a genuinely good reason to book β€” not a box we tick.

Consultation before commitment

We'd rather talk you out of a design that won't age well than take your money for it. The consultation covers size, placement, healing and how the piece will look long-term. No rushing, no upselling.

Designs made for you, not pulled off a wall

We don't copy someone else's tattoo. Your piece is drawn around your idea, your body and your reasons for getting it, which is the whole point of a custom studio.

Hygiene that isn't a talking point

Single-use sterile needles, medical-grade surface cleaning and professional inks are the baseline for every session, every client. It's not a premium add-on; it's just how a tattoo should be done.

Size and placement that survive time

Tiny detail packed into a small space blurs as skin moves and ages. We'll tell you the size a design actually needs to stay readable β€” even if it's bigger than you first imagined.

A range of styles under one roof

Fine-line, realism and portraits, script, geometric and linework, blackwork, minimal pieces and cover-ups β€” between Gaurav and Loveleena, most things people ask for are covered.

Aftercare you can actually follow

You leave with clear, step-by-step aftercare, and you can message us during healing if something looks off. The session isn't the end of our job.

About Gaurav Aggarwal β€” founder and senior artist

Gaurav Aggarwal founded Tattoosphere in 2013 and remains its senior artist. Over more than 12 years he's built a steady reputation across Delhi NCR for clean workmanship and an ethical, no-shortcuts approach. What sets his work apart is control β€” the balance of machine speed, needle depth and shading pressure that keeps a tattoo sharp while protecting the skin and helping it heal smoothly.

He's worked with thousands of clients across every skin type and body area, and he's open about seeing tattooing as part discipline, part conversation. Every piece begins with listening: what the design means, where it should live, why it matters. That patience, plus a real eye for detail, is why he's one of the more trusted names people mention when they're looking for a serious tattoo artist in the region.

What Gaurav works in

Fine-line tattoos

Clean, delicate linework with steady flow and sharp detail β€” minimal pieces that stay crisp because the technique behind them is right.

Realism and portraits

Both black-and-grey and colour realism, with smooth gradients and lifelike depth. His portraits read as three-dimensional rather than flat.

Script and lettering

From modern calligraphy to classic scripts, with the spacing and stroke balance that keep text legible for years instead of closing up.

Geometric and linework

Mandalas, symmetry and precise geometric patterns that need a steady hand and clean alignment to actually look right.

Custom concept pieces

Personal designs that fold a few ideas, memories or symbols into one coherent tattoo β€” the kind of work that only makes sense for the person wearing it.

Blackwork and bold lines

Heavy black fills and bold designs done with the saturation control that lets the colour heal even and stay solid.

Cover-ups

Older or unwanted tattoos reworked into something new β€” studying the existing pigment and placement so the new piece genuinely hides what's underneath.

About Loveleena Kapoor β€” female tattoo artist

Loveleena Kapoor is one of the most-requested female tattoo artists in the NCR, known for a calm working style and a light, precise hand. She trained in-house at Tattoosphere under Gaurav and has grown into her own approach β€” one that leans toward fine-line and detailed work where patience matters more than speed. Clients from Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurgaon often ask for her specifically because she makes even intricate designs look effortless.

She treats every tattoo as something personal. Before she starts, she'll take time to understand the meaning behind it and make sure the size, placement and concept actually suit you. That gentleness makes a real difference for first-timers and for anyone who wants a relaxed, reassuring session rather than a rushed one.

What Loveleena works in

Fine-line tattoos

Elegant, even linework with subtle detail β€” clean and graceful, and built to stay that way.

Soft shading and gradients

Gentle blends that add depth without harshness, which suits florals, nature pieces and softer feminine designs especially well.

Hand-poked tattoos

Slow, mindful, machine-free work with a natural, organic texture β€” for clients who like the quieter craft of hand-poking.

Minimal tattoos

Small symbols and micro designs that stay balanced and meaningful, and heal cleanly across skin tones.

Linework and geometric pieces

Precise lines, geometric forms and mandala-inspired work with smooth, symmetrical flow.

Delicate florals

Botanical and floral pieces are something she's particularly loved for β€” soft shading and fine lines that keep them looking timeless.

Script and name tattoos

Clean strokes, proper spacing and gentle curves that keep lettering delicate and readable.

Why some clients prefer a female artist

It's a question we get often, so here's the honest answer: it's about comfort and fit, not a rule. Plenty of clients book Gaurav and plenty book Loveleena β€” but for some people a female artist makes the experience easier, and that's a perfectly good reason to choose one.

A calmer, more patient session

Many clients describe Loveleena's pace as relaxed and unhurried, which helps a lot if you're nervous.

More comfort for sensitive placements

For tattoos on private or sensitive areas, some women simply feel more at ease with a female artist β€” and that ease matters.

A real eye for fine detail

Delicate linework, soft shading and intricate patterns reward a steady, patient hand, which is exactly her strength.

Designs that carry feeling

When a tattoo is tied to a memory or emotion, it helps to work with someone who listens to that and translates it into the design.

1. Message or call us

The fastest route is WhatsApp at +91 92665 55545. Send your name, your tattoo idea and a date that works, and we'll guide you from there. You can also email tattoosphereink@gmail.com.

Chat on WhatsApp

2. Share your idea

Send any reference images or inspiration. Not sure what you want yet? That's normal β€” we'll help shape a rough idea into a proper design.

3. Talk it through

We discuss design, size, placement and technique so the piece heals well and stays looking right for the long haul.

4. Confirm with an advance

A small advance reserves your slot and lets us prepare your artwork ahead of time. It keeps the studio's day organised and the time held for you. For larger pieces, ask about our EMI option on tattoos.

5. Come in on the day

Reach the studio at 101 Plot No 1 LSC Market, Surajmal Vihar, New Delhi – 110092 about 10–15 minutes early to settle in and go over any final details.

6. Sit back for a clean, careful session

Sterile single-use needles, professional inks and a calm room β€” that's the whole session, every time.

Book on WhatsApp Call Tattoosphere

Booking with us means choosing experience, hygiene and a design made for you β€” and a tattoo you'll be glad to wear for life.

Before your appointment β€” a few things that help

Once your session is booked, a little preparation makes the day go smoothly. Whether you're local or travelling in from elsewhere in the NCR, keep these in mind.

1. Arrive 10–15 minutes early

It gives you room to relax, finish any forms and confirm the final details with your artist.

2. Eat well and stay hydrated

Have a proper meal beforehand. Steady blood sugar keeps you comfortable through a longer session.

3. Wear comfortable clothing

Loose, breathable clothes around the tattoo area make the session easier and avoid friction afterwards.

4. Skip alcohol and blood thinners

Avoid alcohol, aspirin and blood-thinning medicines for 24 hours before β€” they increase bleeding and slow healing.

5. Get a good night's sleep

Turning up rested makes a real difference to how comfortable you feel, especially for detailed work.

6. Keep the skin clean and bare

No lotion, oil, perfume or makeup on the area on the day of your appointment.

7. Be ready for it to take time

Detailed pieces aren't quick. Stay relaxed and trust the process β€” your comfort is the priority.

8. Tell us about any medical concerns

Allergies, sensitive skin or any condition β€” let us know in advance so we can plan around it.

9. Follow the aftercare

Healing is half the result. We'll walk you through aftercare, and you can reach us if you have questions.

10. Rescheduling

Need to move your slot? Let us know at least 24 hours ahead. Advances are adjustable but non-refundable.

Ann B Sabu β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…
"This tattoo means so much to me because it was a custom piece that I personally sketched. Seeing my own drawing evolve into something even more beautiful than I imagined was such an unreal experience. It took over 8 hours, and I can honestly say every single hour of pain was completely worth itttttt.....My tattoo artist,Lovely is insanely talented. They took my original sketch, understood my vision perfectly, and refined it into a masterpiece. The detailing, the flow, the composition on my back… everything was enhanced so beautifully while still respecting my concept. It felt like a true collaboration between artist and client, and that’s something really special. Her patience, precision, and dedication throughout the long session were amazing. She made sure I was comfortable the entire time and paid attention to every tiny detail. You can genuinely see the passion she has for her craft....The studio atmosphere was equally incredible. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the owner Gaurav was extremely hospitable and friendly. The space was clean, professional, and filled with such positive energy. Walking in with my sketch and walking out with this powerful, refined piece on my skin was such a proud moment. If you’re looking for artists who respect your vision and elevate it to the next level, this is the place. Truly an unforgettable experience πŸ–€βœ¨"
