About The Piercing Course/learning

The piercing course/training is designed in a manner that one can make the most out of it and understand the underlying dynamics very well. It is a 4-day program in which classes will begin at 1 pm and last till 7 pm on all days.

Day1:On the first day, we will start with all the basics, concepts like “What is body piercing?”, etc. will be covered, and an introduction to different types of body piercing like ears, Nose, Navel, and Oral with their “call names” will be done. On the first day of the training, different methods of piercing, like gunshot piercing, wire (silver or gold) piercing, and tools used for piercings will be explained. Tools are an important enabler for any artist, so it is very important to understand how different types of forceps can be used for ear, navel, septum, or any other piercing. Once the tools are mastered, it is important to understand the different gauges of needles used for piercing and jewelry.

Day 2: will include learning about all the correct piercing points for a well-balanced piercing. For example, if you are piercing a navel, you should know the correct points for piercing. The same is true for all other piercings as well. In the next step, Correct marking is the most important part. Correct piercing marking will always make a difference between a good or a bad piercing as it decides the entry and exit points of the said piercing. A good marking ensures a good-looking piercing that also helps in speedy healing. This will be followed by lessons on needle handling in which you will be briefed about “how to use/handle a needle for piercing?”. The scope of this will be more focused on avoiding any self-injuries, especially from any used needle.

By now you will have all the knowledge about piercing tools, different jewelry, and needles. Now comes the part that is crucial for every art: the time to practice what you have learned.

During this, you will be provided a graph based artificial skin to practice. This practice will be very helpful for you to understand and apply what all you have learned till now. This graph-based skin will have a predefined entry and exit piercing. points, and you will be asked to practice the same using all the tools and needles you have learned about. This will give your confidence a boost before performing any real piercing. This process will itself help clear many doubts and may raise many queries. in your mind, which will be duly answered by your tutor.

Day 3: will begin with marketing lessons in which you will be taught how to promote your piercing business on various social media platforms. After this, we will shift our focus to customer consultation. Handling your customer well is very important. part, and you should be ready and full of confidence as your customer might ask you a lot of questions.

You should be able to answer some of the basic questions, and as you gain knowledge and experience, you will be able to answer the most typical questions. Next up, on the same day, we will teach you about setting up a piercing station so that no hygiene protocol is compromised. It is very important to place your workstation on the correct side (right-hand side or left-hand side) and provide comfortable seating for customers during piercings so that you can work easily and your hands are easily able to reach the piercing. area and workstation

Next, we will teach you about hygiene protocols during piercings. This includes cleaning the workstation before and after every session. You should refrain from touching random things like your cell phone or any other un-sanitized things during  piercing.

This part of the training will give you knowledge about dos and don’ts during piercings to help you maintain hygiene. We will also teach you how a used needle and other biowaste generated from the piercing should be treated and disposed of safely. After This we will include a general discussion session where we will do group discussions and answer any uncleared doubts.

Day 4: will be most exciting and will be full of practical knowledge. This day will include a practical session. You will be doing piercing for real.

This session aims at enhancing skills on usage of tools for different piercings and safe methods of marking and piercing body parts to avoid pain or bleeding. Further, the lesson will include learning about the correct method of putting up the jewelry from  the correct direction based on the jewelry and piercing type. This practical session will include piercings like ear piercing, nose piercing, septum piercing, and navel piercing. This session will also include practicals on various things learned in last few days, like piercing setup, handling and disposing of used needles, waste management, and other topics covered earlier.

This will be followed by things like post-piercing cleaning and removal of setup, and piercing aftercare for customers. By this time, you may have some questions and doubts, which we will clear during practical sessions and group discussions. By the end of the day, we will distribute certificates for the completion of the piercing course, but that does not mean that we will part ways with you. This is not the end of our relationship with you.
