Hi, I am Gaurav, and I will be your trainer for this program. I bring over 12 years of hands-on experience in professional body piercing and tattoo artistry for both men and women. With a strong foundation in technique and safety, I will guide you in mastering all major types of body piercings with confidence and precision. I am a firm believer in self-learning and continuous growth, and I have worked as a guest artist at multiple studios across India. Teaching this craft is something I am deeply passionate about, and I actively promote ethical, professional, and safe piercing practices. I strongly believe that maintaining high standards of hygiene and professionalism is essential—not just for client safety, but also for the long-term well-being of the artist.
The piercing course and training is carefully structured to help you gain maximum value while understanding the core principles of professional body piercing. This is a 4-day intensive program, with classes conducted from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM on all days, ensuring focused learning and hands-on experience.
Day 1: The first day begins with building a strong foundation. Core concepts such as what body piercing is and its professional significance are explained in detail. You will be introduced to different types of body piercings including ear, nose, navel, and oral piercings, along with their commonly used call names. The session also covers various piercing methods such as gunshot piercing, wire (silver or gold) piercing, and the correct use of professional tools. Since tools are essential for any piercer, special attention is given to understanding how different forceps are used for ear, navel, septum, and other piercings. Once tool usage is clear, the focus shifts to understanding needle gauges and jewellery selection.
Day 2: focuses on learning the correct piercing points for achieving a well-balanced and aesthetically pleasing result. For example, when performing a navel piercing, understanding accurate placement is crucial, and the same applies to all other piercings. This is followed by detailed training on correct marking techniques, which play a decisive role in determining the entry and exit points. Proper marking ensures a visually pleasing piercing and supports faster healing. You will then be trained in safe needle handling, with emphasis on correct usage and methods to avoid self-injury, especially when dealing with used needles.
By this stage, you will have gained solid knowledge of piercing tools, jewellery, and needles. The next step focuses on applying this knowledge through structured practice.
During this phase, you will be provided with a graph-based artificial skin for practice. This method helps you clearly understand technique, pressure, and precision. The artificial skin includes predefined entry and exit points, allowing you to practice using various tools and needles under guidance. This hands-on experience builds confidence before performing real piercings and helps clear doubts, all of which are addressed directly by your trainer.
Day 3: begins with marketing guidance, where you will learn how to promote your piercing services effectively using social media platforms. This is followed by training in customer consultation, an essential skill for every professional piercer. Clients often have questions, and handling them with confidence and clarity builds trust. You will also learn how to set up a professional piercing station while maintaining strict hygiene protocols. Proper workstation placement, seating comfort, and ease of access to tools are explained in detail to ensure smooth and safe procedures.
Next, you will be trained in hygiene protocols during piercing. This includes cleaning the workstation before and after each session and avoiding contact with unsanitized items such as mobile phones during procedures.
This part of the training highlights essential dos and don’ts to maintain hygiene standards. You will also learn how to safely handle and dispose of used needles and biowaste generated during piercing. A group discussion session follows, allowing open interaction and clarification of any remaining doubts.
Day 4: is the most exciting and practice-oriented day of the program. This day is dedicated entirely to real-time practical training, where you will perform piercings under expert supervision.
The practical session focuses on improving tool handling skills, accurate marking, and safe piercing techniques to minimize pain and bleeding. You will also learn the correct methods of inserting jewellery based on piercing type and jewellery design. Practical training includes ear piercing, nose piercing, septum piercing, and navel piercing. Additionally, you will apply previously learned concepts such as workstation setup, used needle disposal, waste management, and hygiene maintenance.
The session concludes with training on post-piercing cleaning, dismantling the setup, and educating clients about proper aftercare. Any remaining questions are addressed through live demonstrations and group discussions. At the end of the program, certificates are distributed upon successful completion of the course. However, this does not mark the end of our association.
